It’s the Pinehurst area this year for golf and we’re staying at the Talamore condos in Southern Pines.   Golf is booked at the Talamore Club, Pine Needles, and Mid South – all in Southern Pines with a round scheduled at the Foxfire resort down the road in Foxfire Village.   Here’s a course map and descriptions: Sandhills ’15

Talamore ended up being a great place to stay.  The accommodations were course-side and well accompanied.  There’s a nice clubhouse and sports pub, the ‘Llama Pen’, on the grounds.   Plus, llamas on the course!

The Steelers and Chargers played on Monday Night Football so we reserved the Talamore Hospitality Suite with it’s 3 flat screens and grilled up some burgers and brats.  The resort has a gratis ‘Pig Pickin BBQ Dinner’ on Thursday nights and free breakfast on Friday mornings.  Hard to beat!

This year’s ‘Grand Wazoo’ competition was a nailbiter with Kathy Sauers taking the prize.  Congrats Kathy!
