We started the day with breakfast at the ‘Cattleman’s Café’ in Marana. Very cool – fine breakfast fare and an on-site cattle auction venue whose owner is a huge Steeler’s fan. Who’da thunk it?
The Gallery Club has two 18-hole courses, located east of Manara in Dove Mountain. Our play is on the North course, designed by Tom Lehman and was ranked #1 in Southwest Arizona by Golf Digest. The course hosted the Accenture Match Play Championship in 2007 & 2008. It runs through two canyons with nice views of the high Sonoran landscape and deep deep bunkers. It also is noted for having the longest par 5 in NA where the 9th hole is 725 yards from the tips!
