Luffness New GC was founded in 1894 and designed by Old Tom Morris. It’s a very traditional course that is primarily run for its members. We were not allowed into the club dining area or bar, but the club secretary generously brought out beers for us to drink on an outside bench. The course was good fun and in excellent condition.
We booked a whisky tasting at the fine ‘Lockett Brothers’ shop: James Eadie, Campbeltown Loch, Ardnamurchan Rum Cask, GlenAllachie & Raasay. Good stuff!
After a walk along North Berwick’s shoreline, we dined at the Rocketeer. It’s a well-known seafood joint but also offer haggis bon-bons. After dinner we hung out in the Golf Lodge’s dining room / lounge.
