I started feeling like crap towards the end of yesterday evening’s pub crawl (no, it wasn’t the libation!) and didn’t really sleep all evening so I bailed on the day’s golf and piled on the blankets. Bummer.
The lads headed off to Gullane #2. The course was laid out in 1898 by Willie Park Jr. and has been used for Open championship qualifying as well as the Seniors Open Amateur. Play is up and over Gullane Hill with views of Aberlady Bay.

I was feeling better by the time the guys were back and joined them for our scheduled ‘Ginspiration Tour’ at the N.B. Distillery on the outskirts of town near Tantallon Castle. N.B. is a small, eco-distillery with some great credentials – supposedly Queen Elisabeth’s favorite when at Balmoral. Good stuff.
Dinner followed at crowd-favorite ‘Bella Italia’.
