The Bay Harbor Golf Club sits on Little Traverse Bay near Petosky, a short drive north of Charlevoix. The club has 3, 9-hole courses designed by Arthur Hills. We played the Links/Quarry combination. Fantastic golf & scenery!
The main game is ‘Various Pars’. Only nine of each player’s net scores for the round count. A player counts his two best net scores among the par 3 holes, five best net scores for the par 4’s and two bet nets for the par 5’s. Lowest net total wins.
The side game is ‘One Putt Poker’ where a player gets a poker card for every one-putt hole. Best poker hand wins.
Sarge won the Various Pars game with Al coming in as runner-up. Dick took the Poker side game.
We drove into Petosky for dinner at the Michell Street Pub, a pretty cool place with tons of Michigan paraphernalia on the walls, a world-class juke box, and legendary moose head. The box had songs by one of our favorite musicians!
