Our first round of the trip is at the Stonehouse Golf Club in Toano, Virginia.  

The course is one of Mike Stranz’ early designs which fell into disrepair, closed, and reopened under new ownership a few years ago.  Sadly, course conditions were not up to expectations – a real shame as the layout is considered one of Stranz’s most interesting.  Still a work in progress.  

The team of Terry and Sarge won the morning fourball match with Jerry & Mike as runners-up.   No replay round.

Dinner was at the fantastic ‘Two Drummer’s Smokehouse’.  Great BBQ!
